Is keyword research necessary before starting a blog?

It is helpful. You will get to know what are the other arguments related to your topic, what peoples actually searching for. This way you will write better. However you will optimize this later for SEO.

I think keyword research is worth doing from the start. It does not have to be complicated, but it helps you understand what people are actually searching for before you invest time creating content. Good content matters, but keyword research helps make sure that content has a better chance of being discovered.
 
If you want traffic on your blog, then you should start with keyword research so that you write articles and content people are searching for. Make sure the article addresses that keyword intent
 
I usually poke around for keywords just enough to make sure I’m not shouting into the void, then I start writing and tweak things as I go. Keeps me from overthinking and still helps me hit stuff people actually look for. Kind of a best-of-both-worlds vibe without turning blogging into homework.
 
I would say keyword research seems pretty important before writing. From what I have been learning, quality content is essential, but if nobody is searching for the topic, it can be difficult to get traffic no matter how good the article is.
 
honestly i would do some keyword research before starting.
it does not need to be super detailed in the beginning but it helps you avoid writing a bunch of posts nobody is searching for.
you can still focus on quality content but having a rough idea of search demand makes the seo part much easier later.

Keyword research does not always have to be hard; but performing your research before beginning to write will save you a lot of time. It is very disappointing to see that great contents have failed only because there were no searches performed to locate the particular contents. That is the reason why I begin my work with keywords before trying to generate contents.

I think keyword research is still important before writing, especially on Google. otherwise you may write good content that nobody is actually searching for.

Sure, absolutely. You can start writing, publish content but not much is going to happen.

SEO isn't some thing you "improve".

If you don't create exact ranking blueprints for each article and service page, you are shooting in the dark.
 
Well good content is important, but if nobody is searching for the topic, it's much harder to get traffic. A little keyword research before writing can save a lot of time later.

You need to ensure that you have conducted proper keyword research prior to writing. Understanding the intent behind users searches will help you craft headings with strong structure and semantics right from the start. You should continue writing in your normal style, but make sure that you have adequate demand signals.
 
Keyword research is very helpful because it shows what people are actually searching for Quality content matters too but combining both usually brings better SEO results
 
Yes definitely keyword search should be the first thing you need to do then quality content is the second important thing, the third thing which I feels is imprtant is to write content with the understanding of trend or what people are looking for.
 
I used to stress hardcore about picking the *perfect* keywords, but honestly, half the time my posts that got the most love weren’t even planned around keywords. Now I just jot down hot ideas from both my own brain and a quick peek at trends, toss in some light keyword spice, and focus on making it easy to read. Google’s changed so much lately anyway, so you can wing it a bit more.

You can start with writing first, but it works best if you still have a basic idea of demand. Otherwise you may write content nobody searches for.
 
Yes, keyword research is necessary before posting a blog because it give a idea about that blog will be successful or not. People like it or not and how much people search for that topic in month or year.
 
See keyword research like you are building a house. You need to dig the foundation first. Keyword research is the foundation and everything else follow
