What link-building tactic has given you the best results?

Hi,
I am working on Off-page SEO link building from last 6th months but didn't get best results. So, I want to know from you all that what link building tactics has given you the best results? Share some real experiences.

Guest posting on real blogs with actual traffic has consistently given me the best long term results. Instead of chasing cheap link packages, finding niche relevant sites and adding valuable content keeps the rankings stable. Consistent internal linking across your own site also helps push that power around. :cool:
 
For me niche-relevant guest posts and niche edits on real sites with traffic have given the best results I saw much better rankings from a few quality links from hundreds of low-quality backlinks relevance and site quality matter more than link quality
 
Guest post backlinks provide me the best results but while choosing the site you should choose highly traffic oriented sites and also have good DA.
 
honestly 6 months isnt that long, link building is slow and most of the gain shows up later than you expect so dont panic yet.

everyone here saying guest posts which yeah fine they work, but i'd add that what moved the needle for me wasnt the type of link as much as not over optimizing the anchors. early on i was hammering exact match anchors and it did nothing or made things worse. switched to mostly branded and naked url anchors with maybe 1 in 8 being keyword and rankings got way more stable.

also stop obsessing over DA. its a third party metric, google doesnt see it. a DA20 page that actually ranks and gets traffic is worth more than some DA60 link farm that hasnt been crawled in months. check if the page is actually indexed before you even bother.

one thing nobody mentioned... look at where your competitors are getting links from. their backlink profile is basically a free roadmap of sites in your niche that already give out links. way faster than cold guessing.

idk what niche youre in but if its competitive the real answer is just patience plus not doing anything dumb. slow and boring usually wins this game.
 
niche-relevant guest posts with organic traffic and low obl/no link farm & ranked niche edits always give the best results.
 
A lot of people chase metrics. I pay more attention to the relevance and placement you will get better result when you stop looking at the backlink but the page from where the backlink comes because the contextual link inside a relevant article work much better then a random page
 
The best results I’ve seen came from getting links from sites that were actually related to my niche and its from highly traffic oriented sites. Sometimes improving content and user engagement has a bigger impact than building more links.
 
From my experience focusing on relevant websites and earning a few high quality backlinks worked much better than chasing a large number of links Quality always gave better results
 
@Nexora550 covered the anchor ratio and DA points well.
One thing nobody mentioned for competitive niches, tiered link building. guest posts and niche edits pointing to your money site work better when you push tier 2 links behind them. A guest post with zero links pointing at it loses power over time. build 10-15 profile links or social signals behind your guest post URL and the authority it passes strengthens and holds longer.

Same applies to parasite pages. Aa medium or linkedin article ranking for your keyword gets even more stable when you push tier 2 links at the parasite URL instead of just relying on the platform's own authority. most people build tier 1 and stop. the ones winning in competitive spaces are reinforcing consistently. that's the difference between rankings that move and rankings that stay.
 
Niche guest posts on blogs with real, existing search traffic have consistently given the best returns. If you have been building links for six months with zero movement, you might be focusing too much on metric scores like DA instead of actual traffic and relevance. Try shifting your effort toward securing contextual links from sites within your exact niche. :)
 
Six Months is a long time with no movement. Are the links actually getting indexed? I had a project where half the links looked fine in reports but barely showed up anywhere after a few weeks.

The best result came from getting links from sites that were actually related to my niche.
i tried a lot of different link types but a few relevant links always seem to have more impact than building a large number of random ones.
it also helped when the linked page had solid content and was not just built for seo.
 
digital PR given me the strongest long term result. getting mentions from real websites that have real readers tend to help both rankings and reffreal traffic more than tradituonal link building tactics.
 
guest posting on genuinely relevant sites has worked best for me i focused more on niche relevance and traffic quality rather than chasing high DA numbers and the results were much better

In my experience, quality has consistently outperformed quantity. The best results have come from relevant guest posts, niche edits on aged content, a I also focus on building topical relevance rather than just chasing high DA metrics, this goes stronger

Basically backlinks refers your site so in this way, google also increase authority of your website.

so that's why link buildings always works, but be aware before using it, always check indexing of site
 
Link building usually depends on the niche. It's easy to get citations in niches like education, religion, philosophy, etc. - particularly when you offer something that others don't. In ymyl niches, it's almost impossible to get quality backlinks as it'll ruin their trust score if your site turns out to be a bad apple.

Guest post on authoritative relevance websites has given me the most consistent result
 
internal link building actually gave me more noticeable improvements than external links at the start once the site structure was solid external backlinks started having a stronger impact too
