Do you focus on search volume or search intent first?

Intent matters first because it tells you what readers really want. Search volume simply tells you how many people are searching for. Using a high volume keyword is useless if your content doesn't meet the user's needs.

1. Search intent → understand what the reader truly wants, 2. Content that answers the intent, 3. Only then consider Search Volume to prioritize.

I used to chase flashy keywords, but folks would bounce faster than I could say “SEO.” Switched gears and started digging into what readers were actually after, and suddenly comments and shares picked up. If you’re just starting out, finding those sweet spot low-comp, high-intent phrases is easier on the nerves than locking horns with the big fish.
