It helps with site structure and keeps people on your site longer. Lastly, work on EAT (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness). It takes time but works in the long run.

I see this all the time when a site has decent authority, but specific pages don't rank because they don't have a single external link. All link building goes to the homepage. A few relevant links directly to the desired page often yield more than dozens of links to the domain as a whole. And if you add proper internal linking, rankings become noticeably more stable.
 
The issue that many people often overlook is consistency in the core elements. In fact, many "old" methods are still effective if you apply them correctly especially creating valuable content and distributing it to the right audience.

one thing that still gets ignored is improving pages that already have some traction. sometimes a few tweaks can produce better results than publishing five new articles. site structure is another underrated area. helping search engines and users navigate content more easily can have a bigger impact than people expect.
my view is that the biggest gains often come from fixing overlooked basics, not chasing the latest trend.
