How to Protect Your Ads from Bot Clicks

I prevent bot clicks through fraud-detection software, IP exclusions, and continuous traffic monitoring.

I’m running multiple campaigns and worried about bots wasting my ad budget. Some campaigns get tons of clicks but no conversions, and I think bots might be the reason.
Has anyone dealt with this before? What methods or tools do you use to prevent bot traffic and protect your ads?
Services like clickcease, lunio or clickguard can help a bit
They detect repeated clicks, bot patterns, weird ips etc and auto block/exclude some traffic
Helped me more on display traffic than search tbh

Can these tools help you protect your funnels from the spy tools like semrush and humbl?

Use ClickCease or TrafficGuard for real-time bot filtering, add IP exclusion lists regularly, monitor bounce rate + time-on-site in GA4, and always enable platform-level invalid click protection, also avoid super cheap traffic sources as they're 90% bots

Yes this is common, use proper click fraud protection tools like Cloudflare bot filtering, server side tracking, and strict geo and device targeting to reduce bot traffic and protect ad spend.

I usually use IP tracking software and block IP addresses that click too many times.

Same here, bots are tricky. I focus on monitoring CTR vs conversion rate and block any sources that spike clicks without results.

I will suggest to block suspicious locations and bad traffic sources if you notice fake clicks this helps to reduce wasted budget.

If you are getting lots of clicks buy no conversions, it is worth reviewing search terms and audience targeting too. sometimes the issue is low quality traffic, not only bots.

Also check your analytics for weird spikes like 50 clicks in 5 minutes from one region. You can add IP exclusions or geo-targeting to cut that traffic off.
