What’s the safest way of logging in my biz Instagram account on a new device?

I’m asking this because there are so many Instagram ban these days.



Currently use my own business account on my iPhone 12 which is connected to my home Wi-Fi and my SIM card 5G.



I have a separate iPhone SE for my clients’ account management work. I don’t use Wi-Fi on that device, only 4G on a different SIM card.



Now I’m upgrading my iPhone 12 to an iPhone 16 plus so want to login my own Instagram in the new phone. And I’ll use the iPhone 12 for client management. I’ll sell the iPhone SE.



This is what I’m planning on doing - I’ll set up my new phone first, login my Instagram on the new phone, then log out of my old phone. Then I’ll reset my old phone, and login my clients accounts.



I already did video verification selfie for my account. Should I do it again on the new phone?

In your case everything will be fine, you shouldn't be worried. These blocks happen in case of strange logins/activity from unexpected locations / bad IPs.

But for the future, in case you will hire agencies in other countries, consider giving them remote control to an iPhone in your location. You can do it with a Clicker for example. This way you won't share creds, you will keep IG activity "in house" speaking of location&IP, and also they won't need to have an iPhone / a Mac to remotely manage your account.

If you follow all the steps correctly, transferring your account shouldn't be a problem. Just avoid any unusual behavior after transferring your account, and everything will be fine.

Your plan is highly safe, especially since your client management on the iPhone 12 is manual and non-aggressive, meaning it won’t inherently raise red flags.

Just adjust the transition sequence slightly: log out of the old phone first before signing into the iPhone 16 Plus to avoid suspicious simultaneous sessions. Crucially, log into the new device using the exact same home Wi-Fi as before; Instagram heavily trusts that specific residential IP.
