Anyone else just... tired of all the "gurus"?

This is the perspective you aren't going to get from anyone else.

You know what your problem is?

Do you know how many gurus I see?

None.

Not a single one. Why?

I spend my entire day doing productive work. I build.

I talk with my clients.

I write ads.

I build landing pages.

I work on my main product.

I come up with marketing angles to promote it.

I talk with clients about things they like/dislike.

If you're being exposed to a ton of gurus, that means, you aren't doing any work. You are just consuming entertainment on social media.

This will *never* lead to you having the life you want. You'll just spend your life chasing dopamine hits.

There's so much you could do to make money. Create a product, either an app or an info product. Run some ads. Do some cold email. Build landing pages for it. Make some phone calls. Get business moving.
You're right, it's time for a change, and the fact that I realize this is progress.

I feel the same. Most “guru” advice is not wrong 100% of the time, but it is usually missing context. What works for one niche, budget, offer, or audience may fail completely for someone else.

I try to filter advice by asking: did they show real data, does it match my niche, and can I test it cheaply? If not, I ignore it.

Most of those gurus make more money selling courses than actually ranking sites, so just ignore the noise, the only real way to know what works is to run your own split tests on cheap burner domains and watch your own data, stick to the basics and stop looking for a magic button that doesn't exist.

Split testing is what people do when they don't actually understand marketing.

It's basically "I don't know how to build an offer, so I'm going to just guess".

Once you get good and know what you're doing, you don't need to split test.

The *real* use of split testing is when you already have a strong offer and you've scaled the traffic.

To squeeze a bit more out your offer.

But if you need to use split testing to find out "what works", you don't know what you're doing.

Once you actually learn how to build offers the idea of starting with split testing will be silly.

Actually, the algorithms of all social media platforms require sufficient views before they will recommend the video. That's why creators must make attention-grabbing, curiosity-inducing hooks. If they don't, they won't get good results. This is completely normal. When making video content, you only have the first 10 seconds to capture the audience. If viewers swipe past within those 10 seconds, your video will essentially flop.
Heck, my friend you not have 10 seconds today......

Great you have a strong mindset! Like my neighbor;
He mows the lawn, plants new areas in his garden, builds a small circular stone wall and plants things in it, chops wood for the winter.... In the evening, he runs 3–4 km or rides his bike; he doesn’t turn on the TV at night, but spends time with himself or his family. He says, “My world is beautiful and peaceful!” You can glance at the daily newspaper for about five minutes each day—nothing more.

Yes you can build a strong and peaceful microcosmos around you !

Feels like everyone online is trying to sell the next secret strategy while saying the opposite of each other. I have kinda stopped listening to most of it and just focus on testing things myself now.

The world is beautiful and peaceful if you stay off social media, news and tv.

I'm highly selective about what I let into my consciousness.

Pretty much just a few positive people who I know are successful and a private paid group I'm in are my sources. I don't touch the news, social media, youtube. The news is complete BS. Newspapers existed to sell copies. Modern news just exists to capture your attention and and monetize with ads. None of it represents the world we live in or is useful in any way. I do watch youtube, but I disable the feeds, comments and recommendations. I open it up, search for something and watch it. I don't doom scroll. I choose something, like today I searched for "ai ancient rome" and watched

All you need is a small group of successful people you chat with regularly and engage with each other and you'll be successful and happy very fast.

Man, you hit the nail on the head. The guru fatigue is real because most of them just chase views and sell courses instead of running real campaigns.

hi, I don't know about you, but I'm so tired of all these "gurus" popping up everywhere.

Every day I open YouTube or Twitter and there's another guy telling me I'm doing everything wrong. "This one trick changed everything for me." "Stop doing X, start doing Y." You know the drill.

And the best part? Half of them say the complete opposite thing.

One guy says TikTok ads are dead. Next day someone else says they're the future.
One says long-form content is king. Another says short-form is all that matters now.

I've wasted so much time chasing whatever someone claimed was "working right now." Tried their methods. Didn't work for me. Felt like an idiot.

Lately I've just stopped paying attention. Back to basics , test my own stuff, see what my own data says, ignore the noise.

Not saying everyone's full of it. There's some good advice out there. But digging through all the "LOOK AT ME" content to find it? Exhausting.

Anyone else feel this way? How do you guys figure out what's actually worth your time?
The people quietly building things usually seem more trustworthy than the ones constantly selling secret methods

Wow, shielding power is very rare, learn from you

I stopped feeling that way the day I started ignoring all of em.
Not everything you see out there will work for you.
Infact, some or most of them just give advices for the clicks.
Their advices lack depths.

A couple of days ago, one gave an absurd advice.
I couldn't believe I was seeing that.
That further solidified my decision to ignore all of them.
When you start doing that, you'll make progress.

I feel the same sometimes. There’s so much conflicting advice online now that it becomes hard to know what actually works. Most “gurus” only show wins, not failures. I think testing things yourself and focusing on real data from your own projects is still the best approach.

For good fast target traffic you need reels and IG +FB + systems to get warm leads--to make sales later. And selling courses is legit without money you can't live in this Matrix world, yes it's sad but there is no other choice, yep or maybe become a monk within a monestary....
Example of myself: I not doing shady business tricks, I not do unethical b2b, I not (as a coach) have unethical criminal topics, content and be a manipulate leader none of that. It's no that hard my friend.

The problem isn’t that advice is always wrong it’s that it’s usually context specific but gets presented like a universal truth

Coaching is a completely legitimate business.

It's just that there are a percent of coaches out there that are selling less than quality material, and the problem is most people don't make money because of mindset, not because of skills.

I could teach most people everything I know, and they would still make the same money they make. Their problem is mindset.

But you people don't want to believe that. It's easier to blame coaches and programs instead of take responsibility.

In coaching it's far easier to target people making money. Help people making $5k/mo get to $50k/mo or $100k/mo. 1000x easier than helping someone making $0/mo go to even $500/mo.

You mean their loud screaming youtube intor text like : My bopring site makes $5k /month? But in the video th eguru talks about it not show you how to build that site or that app for free, how to rank a one page website and all that shit right? Yes I'm confused about these gurus too, or they often screaming ; "You make $$$ 6 figures this month" then the video guru shows an expensive affiliate tool you need to buy and how to use that tool = missleading. A little bit ethical framing yes that's normal that's right- but not this extreme missleading framing, or how I should call it.
