hi, I don't know about you, but I'm so tired of all these "gurus" popping up everywhere.

Every day I open YouTube or Twitter and there's another guy telling me I'm doing everything wrong. "This one trick changed everything for me." "Stop doing X, start doing Y." You know the drill.

And the best part? Half of them say the complete opposite thing.

One guy says TikTok ads are dead. Next day someone else says they're the future.
One says long-form content is king. Another says short-form is all that matters now.

I've wasted so much time chasing whatever someone claimed was "working right now." Tried their methods. Didn't work for me. Felt like an idiot.

Lately I've just stopped paying attention. Back to basics , test my own stuff, see what my own data says, ignore the noise.

Not saying everyone's full of it. There's some good advice out there. But digging through all the "LOOK AT ME" content to find it? Exhausting.

Anyone else feel this way? How do you guys figure out what's actually worth your time?

A lot of online “gurus” are simply repeating trends to get attention and views. What works for one person may not work for another because every niche, budget, and strategy is different. Over time, I’ve learned that focusing on the basics, testing ideas personally, and following real data gives better results than chasing every new trend. I only take advice seriously from people who consistently share genuine long-term results instead of flashy screenshots. At the end of the day, real experience teaches more than internet hype.

Totally agree. Most gurus just repeat trends for views. Real learning comes from testing things yourself and seeing what actually works for your business.

totally agree just messed up my mind seeing exactly same from every person

To be honest, most of those people are just repackaging whatever worked for them for a short period of time and selling it like it's universal. The moment I stopped chasing every new strategy and focused on testing things myself, everything became less stressful.

A lot of online advice works temporarily, then gets repeated so much that it stops working. that is why firsthand testing matters.

The reality is that the moment a strategy becomes a $997 course, it usually means the method is already saturated or dying
Trusting your own split-testing and data is the only reliable way to scale right now, keep your head down and trust your own metrics

This has been like this for ages. You must forcefully get tired of them at some point. I believe this is a turning point in your career. I think every single guy under the sun has been lured by them at some point, and fed of them time afterwards. The key is how much time has passed in between. I still know some guys in this wheel for decades.

I have a "friend", that got scammed recently by one of those gurus asking for money for investing more than $10K, and then days later, a "company" contacted him trying to help him recovering the scam, and they scammed him again. Now, after these two scams back to back he is still looking into those crypto guru courses. I'm fully amazed by those guys who never learn from their mistakes.

So I must say that getting fed at some point is a step forward.

It will only work for you if you know how to write posts that sparks (organical) to become a Leader/Influencer in your niche and you have a different lens (perspective, method) otherwise not.

Happy Weekend !

Everything changes from niche to niche. You should know what people are looking for. In some niches like reviews, they search with a zoom lens for something. Make sure to provide it and make it easy for them to find it.

So, write content that hits the bullseye and don't bother about standard practices. If an image carousel works great for you, do it instead of long paragraphs of text. If people want images of new car, provide it before others even if it's AI generated. Google chases what works even if it's against their own policies. So, focus on people instead of search engines.

Most “gurus” sell shortcuts, while the people quietly building useful sites are usually the ones getting real long-term results.

incorrect
most gurus dont know shit

There's no requirements to become a guru, you just larp and use the money you make to larp more, it's an endless cycle to make money until you burn your reputation and pivot.

It's an industry, just a hustle.

They are actually very corrupt and destructive because they mislead many people who are already struggling or in bad situations.

It's the lying I can't stand.
And their hater narratives.
They are never authentic.
And they never show their true form or their true lifestyle.

Then again, it's people that are gullible and sheeple, that's why these gurus become what they are.

Actually, the algorithms of all social media platforms require sufficient views before they will recommend the video. That's why creators must make attention-grabbing, curiosity-inducing hooks. If they don't, they won't get good results. This is completely normal. When making video content, you only have the first 10 seconds to capture the audience. If viewers swipe past within those 10 seconds, your video will essentially flop.

Just remember if they really had the secret method to making money online they wouldn't go telling the whole internet how to do it. They would just milk it themselves.

There's only 1 reason why they would go bragging all over the internet about how they made millions of dollars with their method, can you guess what it is?

Because THAT is their method.

Seems obvious right? It is, but you have to silence your monkey brain that keeps telling you "but what if?"

This is the perspective you aren't going to get from anyone else.

You know what your problem is?

Do you know how many gurus I see?

None.

Not a single one. Why?

I spend my entire day doing productive work. I build.

I talk with my clients.

I write ads.

I build landing pages.

I work on my main product.

I come up with marketing angles to promote it.

I talk with clients about things they like/dislike.

If you're being exposed to a ton of gurus, that means, you aren't doing any work. You are just consuming entertainment on social media.

This will *never* lead to you having the life you want. You'll just spend your life chasing dopamine hits.

There's so much you could do to make money. Create a product, either an app or an info product. Run some ads. Do some cold email. Build landing pages for it. Make some phone calls. Get business moving.
