Hi Maria, I read a lot of your posts, can you elaborate your website portfolio? What is the percentage of your sites, e-commerce, affiliate marketing and article? Which kind generate most profit?

SEO gets traffic from search engines AI helps speed up content and optimization.

I feel the same, SEO is not dead, just changing. Basic info keywords may lose clicks, but intent and buyer keywords still bring traffic, so it still works if you adapt.

Totally agree. SEO isn't dying it's evolving into AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). While basic info queries might lose clicks to AI Overviews, high-intent and commercial keywords still require a trusted source. If you optimize for trust and authority, you'll still get the traffic. It’s just about adapting to the new search behavior.

Yeah, I’m seeing the same thing. Rankings and indexing still work normally. The main difference I notice is that general or basic info keywords seem to get less traffic, probably because AI summaries answer people’s questions directly. But for buyer intent or niche keywords, traffic is still coming in like before. SEO isn’t dead, it’s just shifting how we approach it.

Right now I am working on multiple hundreds of projects (I don't offer service / outsource / sell) these just belong to me and I'm working on limited markets. If you ask me the exact count, sorry, I'm not sure because recently I've been scraping up like crazy. Especially, I started to build agents and learning AI models like DeepSeek Pro / Gemma kind of free modes, etc. I have 12 e-commerce websites right now; 5 of them are local and related to clothing (very traditional). I generate decent ROI, tbh, since I have a lot, and with my racing mind (ADHD / OCD, you name it lol), some projects even not updating are earning. 80% of income is coming from affiliate websites. But now I'm more focused on e-commerce websites because I started to produce real products (related to cosmetics).

Wow, sounds you are super busy. Hope all of your stuff going well. With hundreds of projects, do you mean GSA projects or sites?

Well for basic information, yeah you'll lose users because of the AI overview but you'll also gain new users because of AI overview. Those that need certain information might visit the actual sources. So it could be self balancing in the end

Honestly I think people here still thinking SEO is just about ranking on Google. That era is not completely dead but it is dying slowly and most people not seeing it yet.

The problem now is AI — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview — these things don't send you traffic. They just answer the question and move on. You can be sitting at position one and still get zero clicks because AI already handled it before anyone reach your page. And this is still early days. The percentage of searches AI is absorbing is going up every month, it's not stopping.

So the people who win from here are not the ones chasing page one anymore. They optimising for something different now — getting mentioned, getting cited, showing up in AI answers. That is what GEO and AISEO is. Ranking was the old game. Retrievability is the new one. The ones who understand this now will be untouchable in few years. Everyone else will just be wondering what happened to their traffic.

Seo is not dead, it has just become more difficult with time. Google Ai effects content, so content should be high quality and human written. clicks go up and down, and indexing also fluctuates. but we should focus on creating and good content.

I dont think that SEO is dead neither BUT AI will have a big impact on it. We see it on other stuff aswell.

My SEO guy does a lot of AI content for me with edits. I own a business in multiple locations and in some locations I'm ranked number 1 and others I'm ranked in the top 3 my website ranks awesome even in the generic searches. He told me that if you can't beat AI join them lol so I've witnessed AI taking over SEO but my SEO guy isn't stupid because he knows how to work with it and he's very good and successful!

yeah that’s pretty much what most people are seeing.

AI overviews are hurting simple informational queries, but intent-based searches still bring clicks. people still visit sites when they want to buy, compare, sign up, or make decisions.

SEO isn’t dead, it’s shifting more toward authority, trust, and higher intent traffic. sites with strong content and real relevance are still growing.
