How to find domains with specific backlinks ?

Domain registrars don’t track or care about where backlinks come from (like Tripadvisor) or their quality. They only sell domains based on availability, age, and sometimes very basic metrics. So trying to filter “Tripadvisor backlink domains” directly on GoDaddy or Namecheap won’t work.

UPDATE

so far, i have been using spamzilla (but it’s not very good). checking in bulk manually with ahrefs is better, but it still takes time.
as for spamzilla, i already bought a license, but in my opinion it’s not very useful.

You don’t find them on registrars directly

Try Ahrefs/Majestic to filter expired domains by referring domain = tripadvisor.com, then hunt them on expired domain marketplaces or drop lists.

Hi, just wondering if you tried using our Backlink filters? Currently there are over 200 domains in the database with links from one of the tripadvisor domain names.

Here is the list of the top 20 Tripadvisor domain names: tripadvisor.com, tripadvisor.co.uk, tripadvisor.it, tripadvisor.fr, tripadvisor.de, tripadvisor.es, tripadvisor.in, tripadvisor.ca, tripadvisor.com.au, tripadvisor.com.br, tripadvisor.nl, tripadvisor.jp, tripadvisor.com.mx, tripadvisor.be, tripadvisor.se, tripadvisor.at, tripadvisor.com.gr, tripadvisor.com.tr, tripadvisor.com.ar, tripadvisor.co

Paste that into the Backlinks filter called 'Include Domains'. You can save this filter and have it email you when new domains with TripAdvisor links are added each day.

You can’t filter for Tripadvisor backlinks on domain registrars like GoDaddy or Namecheap

You need a backlink tool such as:

Ahrefs
SEMrush
Majestic

Search domains inside those tools and filter backlinks by referring domain = tripadvisor.com.

That’s the only reliable way

Expired Domain Hunting Checklist

Goal:
Find powerful, niche-relevant expired domains with clean backlinks for SEO, PBNs, or new sites.

STEP 1 — Pick Your Niche

Choose your niche (example: cars, health, tech)
Search on Google:
- "<niche> news"
- "<niche> forum"
Pick large forums or news websites because they usually have many outbound links

STEP 2 — Gather Outbound Links

Choose a tool:

SEMrush
OR
Ahrefs

SEMrush Method:

Go to Backlink Analytics → Outbound Domains
Export CSV
Apply filters:

Visit Archive.org
