Hello Everyone,
A few months back i had written a journey thread on how i made $100/month.
My Journey to $100/month (Nov 2019)
It's been 8 months since then and i wanted to give an update on my affiliate marketing journey.
I started affiliate marketing almost 3-4 years back. Wasn't seriously involved in it until last year.
This month (July 2020), i had my most profitable month, made around $7100 in revenue.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The purpose of writing is thread is no to show off or make someone feel jealous of my achievement. But to help some of those newbies who just entered into affiliate marketing and those who easily give up after testing 4-5 campaigns.
I remember...
1. I have been wrongly banned by affiliate networks 2-3 times...i lost $3000-$4000(which was a lot of money for me at that time).
2. I had to use my mother's credit card, i had literally 0 money in my bank.
3. Back in February 2020, i was literally making $0/month. Over the course of 28 days(in February) I had created and tested 25 push ads-dating campaigns and all of them failed, i got my 1st profitable campaign after 28 days, after testing 25 failed campaigns. Most people give up after testing 4-5 campaigns.
Few take-Aways
1. Stick to one niche:- The biggest mistake i made in my affiliate marketing journey was that, i kept changing niches and one must know that once you change niche...you have to start from scratch in order to know your target audience, testing your landing pages, finding the best offers, etc...etc. So stick with one niche.
2. Start with push/pop: - I feel push/pop ads are the best entry point in affiliate marketing as you don't require 100s of $$ to test an offer, you cud test one CPA offer for a budget of $30-40 and if something isn't working you move on to new offer/landing page.
This is not possible with other traffic sources like Google, Facebook which are a bit costly.
3. Stick to one traffic source:- Whenever push ads didn't work for me, i used to think of switching to Facebook ads, when Facebook ads didn't work for me, i thought of switching to google ads and so on.
I am pretty sure, every newbie who starts affiliate marketing goes through these feelings. But remember every traffic source is equally difficult, so, don't change your traffic source until you have mastered it.
4. Keep Testing/Don't lose hope:- I had my bad phase but not giving up and constantly trying and testing new campaigns, offer helped me succeed.
My next target
I want to reach $10,000/month in earnings. Hopefully will be able to do this by end of this year. But whenever that happens, i'll make sure i document it and i'll share it with you guys.
Challenges Moving forward
I made all my money through just one offer(that i promoted in different countries), i need to diversify my earning and try to get different campaigns, offers profitable. Until that happens, i won't be able to make long-time earnings through affiliate marketing.
Make Use of the lockdown
Lastly, before ending this i want to tell you guys that you need to make use of your free time. I remember before coronavirus hit my country, i was wasting my time attending college, even though i didn't learn anything in college.
The lockdown came as a blessing to me and i shifted all my attention to affiliate marketing and made lot of money in lockdown.
P.S:- If someone here on BHW has been doing push ads for some time and has been making consistent profits, i wud love to connect with him/her..so, we both cud help/learn from each other in order to grow further.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please don't message and DM me asking what traffic source i use or what offer do i promote.
The answer to that is, it doesn't matter. No matter what you do, everything has its challenges and advantages.
I am a huge believer of the fact that, if someone was to actually do something in affiliate marketing, he wudn't wait for thread like this to motivate him, he wud have actually taken the efforts to start his journey.
Thanks for reading
