I have some serious trouble building real backlinks. Its hard to locate locations to back link that matter. But i guess if it was easy wed all have a billion b links each huh

If I put site:my site google says it found it like 600 times ... if I do link it says 0 . I know I have back links because I built many genuine and nothing is showing. Can anyone advise me on why this is ? I logged into google and checked it with all the tools and my email and have no errors...
