Have you thought of using on page optimisation to improve your ranking? I'm thinking, internal links which include your keywords, optimising images for your keywords, including your keyword in the meta title, meta description, H tags, bold/italics and naturally sprinkled throughout your page...

Paid advertising is the way to go. Like a well targeted Solo Ad or PPC.
