In my opinion we don't blast our money sites with Xrumer, SB, etc and do blast our tiers only to prevent damage just in case IF there is some negative effect by blasting... In case some tier x site gets sandboxed, deleted, punished or scoured to hell it doesn't hurt and it's replaceable...
The Profiles have been delivered even before I expected them, also there is a PR8 profile included: nice!
As far as SERP movements I can't say anything yet, the profiles need some time to do their thing first...

I am not so sure if your page would be seen as a content blog bc of this, but I think the constant updates on the page might help as the Panda values an active participating community and will visit to crawl the page more frequent so you'll show up in the 'last 24hours' etc searches

Site loading speed has become more important since Panda... We changed servers and got some initial problems with the setup (moved from apache to varnish/nginx), load times spiked (even to over 7 seconds) and SERPS dropped bigtime... currently page load times are under control again and SERPS...
maybe the new content has too many keywords in it (stuffing) or it triggers G to visit your site and re-index the page based on a newer ruleset... Sometimes it helps to create some backlinks to the inner page (the article) directly
