Link would be followed and juice would be passed but relevancy signal for anchor text wouldn’t. I can’t really think of a situation where you’d want to do this, would it not be better to use words instead of a url - so in the google.com example, linking with anchor text “major global search...
Thanks! Trying to build a case for why we should use "plus" over "+" before we build the brand out fully. This is really helpful! I've had a search and Google seems to understand that "+" means "plus" in titles, but if a competitor uses the text over the symbol they'll be likely to rank higher...

Looking for some advice. Is it a bad idea to use a + sign in meta titles - would search engines understand title that was "Brandname +" or should I stick to "Brandname Plus"? Thanks!
