I am new to youtube as well. What i did to get initial spike is to drive traffic from facebook groups. I have 4 fb accounts with 10 groups assigned each so i wont get classified as spam. I share the yt link everyday with few words before the link. I also make sure i somehow active on the group...

I am starting a youtube channel now. And my mindset is to put as many quantity as I can. And somehow acceptable quality. Few editing, no customized thumbnail. My idea is capture - upload approach. The niche is specific to my profession which is electronics engineering. I dont post entertaining...
