There may be a footprint sure, but a lot of time people block bots not because they are hiding their PBN but blocking aggressive bots from wasting resources and bandwidth. I wouldn't use the stock default block list found by many PBN people but create something custom.

Webmaster tools is a joke for checking your links. I have sites with hundreds of thousands of links and they show only a few thousand. You want to use a backlink checker like Ahrefs to get a more realistic link count.

I wouldn't advise using fake testimonials, can open a can of worms. Just ask your clients if you can use a testimonial, you would be surprised how many say yes if you ask.

There's a risk with every type of link building. SAPE does work though, just need to know the risks and how to reduce the overall risk profile.

No, horrible advice. Sure there are use cases on the edge where these methods can work, but generally speaking the way that most people would go about getting those kind of links will cause problems with penguin. THis is more like a guide of what not to do.

Thanks for the inflation post, but has anyone noticed this? Its the same thing with Majestic. For smaller domains the subdomains search seems to work, but for large domains it doesn't work and you need to individually target the subdomain for backlink lookup which won't solve the problem.

Here is a trick, find the best dof0ll0w links that point to your domain, maybe a review site or whatever. Buy SAPE links to those pages to filter PR to your site. Keep a close eye on those links though so you ensure they stay up. Instead of making crappy web 2.0 buffers use site with real value.
