Chances are you have Malware. Download Spybot search & Destroy, Thats what I use. If it can't fix it... well you're pretty much done for.

I like how the crowd goes crazy, I bet those kids where the talk of the school for at least a week.

I recently had a logo done on 99designs and it came out really well, but IDK if you want to pay the $295 I did for it. If this is a simple, low budget project I would just search twitter for logo design, and check out some of the users portfolios, there is a F*** ton of freelancers looking...

Pretty much any "Social network" type of software could be tweaked to work in this market, I would suggest checking out Buddypress or simular. Then have something designed and coded into a theme. --- Costs money to make money.
