1) i think its not illigal probally ethical, what you do need to take into contxt is if the google bot is going througth the site and gets stuck it could be flagged 2) maybe a guru can shed more light

i think it has something to do with the recently screwing up and giving server logins away so service has been down hill

once again it depends how low your wanting to go.
