I am using Wordpress 3.5 and Yoast is working fine for me. You can ftp into the wp-content/plugins folder and rename the yoast plugin and just put -old at the end of the name and then reinstall it.

Look into domain registrars and hosting companies. Pick one you like the most and set aside some money for it. You should also start brainstorming a topic and then do your domain name research.

I'm not saying GoDaddy is great but I currently use it for my hosting and find that my sites loading time's are good. A couple of years ago they were bad and I had to create a support case but ever since then it has been fine.
