I also made about 30 web2.0 with unique contents.. Got much better result. So i will also suggest you to use uniquely written contents on web2.0.

I think that you must avoid spun content. If you are using spun content on you private blogs then there are always chances of your blog to get penalized or de indexed. You can use rewritten content or you can revise spun content so that it makes sense and readable.

According to me in internal link optimization process you need to interlink the webpages of a website. For example if you have a keyword "k1" on your home page then you can link this keyword to page which is targeting "k1" keyword ( or which has information about "k1" ). You can repeat this...

I also think that a good PR does not implies a good ranking in G. There are more than hundred of factors considered by G while assigning ranking to the sites. PR is only one of such factor..
