Just FYI - DeIndexed means that your site is no longer in the index of a given search engine, whether it is still on the web (and in other search engine indexes) or not. To see if something has been deindexed you do the same thing as you would to see if it has been indexed in the first place...

Social bookmarking via Socialaddr.com - which means a whole bunch of other people putting bookmarks on their bookmark accounts, articles and Web 2.0 - all of which were there before farmer update. Are you using Linxboss with success?

No ads at all - store front type site. Interesting that we all say Google hates affiliate sites - yet they (Google) have an affiliate program. So it is obviously a little more complicated than 'Google hates affiliate sites'.

Exactly right - which is why I'm saying that as the newer versions of the browsers say 'do not track', people are likely to say - "yes" make that my default.

Yes - that has been the going feeling for quite a while now. Yet this latest Google update (Farmer) was, in part, about finding 'link farms' so they are picking out some - just not sure yet how they are indentifying these. Beyond the obvious sites that have thousands + unrelated links and not...

I'm not sure how google would know that Linxboss is where you can buy links and find all their site - unless they join it themselves and harvest the data over time (which they could do). If I were just a person who was making comments, guest blogs (which is what LB may be closest to), and forum...

That sucks!!!! On a positive note: Google apparently figure out that they penalized some very ligit, quality sites, and added 'another layer' (their wording) to the algoritm changes. And a number of people have said their sites have come back. In fact my own site that I was talking about here...

I have a storefront affiliate site. So if it were 'dup content' all such affiliate sites would have been deindexed.
