Well once you figure out a unique feature your best bet would be to buy ads from Facebook, Google, Bing, and anywhere else that sells ad space. In the case of ecosia, I would make a Facebook ad targeting people who like bing, google, and also environmentalists, hippies, and tree huggers.

Make it do something unique. ecosia .org plants a tree every time someone uses their platform to search. I don't see any new search platform doing very well with Google in the picture.
