It's a very popular keyword as Love Film are a popular DVD rental service. 301k exact matches a month globally, of which 245k a month are in the UK.

[Case Study]Ranking Fanpages in Big G.

Good luck with your case study. I've got lots of fanpages ranking in G. Was interested in your intention to sell them afterwards - I am also looking to offload some of my fanpages, but there doesn't seem to be any marketplace to do this.

How do y'all check the rankings of your keywords?

You can use scroogle.org, or seoserp, both free (though they seem to pull info from different data centers)

site not showing anymore for easy keyword phrase

How many teaser articles did you have on your home page, out of interest? That might be the problem, as each article title will show up as an h1 or h2 header. Have too many and you could have tripped a filter. Try reducing the number of teaser articles on the front page and pinging to let...

Yahoo deendexed half of my pages !!!

A few months ago, Bing took over Yahoo SERPs, and Bing doesn't like to report backlinks (just like Google). Wouldn't be at all surprised if they were looking to phase out Yahoo site explorer - what benefit is it to them?

Long Term Experiment - The "Foolproof" Linkwheel

Just a heads up if you are using a blogger blog as part of your link roots/nodes. Blogger seems to have automatically incorporated analytics now - when you log in, you should see a "stats" tab on your blog. I have a blog on there that I was tracking with statcounter, but it now has blogger's...

What am I not understanding about social bookmarking? 3 questions

There are still real people who share links on social bookmarking platforms like delicious and reddit and still real people who share links in forums. As long as that is the case, Google dare not apply a blanket discount or blanket ban on these links. If I were Google this is what I'd do: I'd...

Long Term Experiment - The "Foolproof" Linkwheel

Platforms that struggle to stay indexed: infobarrel They seem to stay in the index for five minutes and then drop out. I guess you could make them stick if you sent a ton of links to them, but there are easier web 2.0s to work with.

Long Term Experiment - The "Foolproof" Linkwheel

Ah, the "harnessing the masses" technique! Back in the day (2006, I don't go further back than that, LOL), people did freely link to whatever they fancied or liked, but in turn you linked out to whatever you fancied too. It didn't involve much pondering either, it was pretty much, see...

    Web 2.0 properties PR

Yup, and a high PR page on a high authority domain has even more power. It's worth backlinking your web2.0s just for that.
