I dont why is there so much fuzz about Panda. I was ok before im good now, panda never touched me. The thing is if you have crap content and spam looking site its not gonna be good :)
 
Interesting read, although I think this guy is a bit melodramatic:

Dr. Pete pointed me to a post on Webmasterworld from Duane Forrester. Although he?s talking about Bing, he explains the Panda situation well.
If a user searches on Bing, we return the best SERP we can for the query. The user clicks on the first result (as we?d expect, normally). They hit YOUR website, and?
1 ? are so engaged they forget about the rest of the Internet for a few minutes and bask in your glory, getting the information they wanted, and more.
2 ? are so dismayed they immediately hit their back button, suddenly popping back onto our radar, alerting us to the fact they were displeased with the result we just showed them ? why else would they suddenly come back, without consuming your content? Displeased.

i m confused over the 3rd point ! different pages for several variations of the same keyword, how do i rank for several keyword variations which have similar amount of searches without having a separate page having that variation (keyword) in title, h1 etc. .. i m not wikipedia :rolleyes:
 
No need to beat panda.. keep content unique and well-written and provide your visitors with relevant information. That should do the trick.

Quality content + good site structure + Quality content related links + update your site with fresh content = Panda survival! :pirate:

Yeah... I thought so too....

Im might do some testing on this, and buy some long staying traffic that enters the site via search engine.
 
I have noticed negative effects from the Panda update but that was only on a couple poor quality content sites. Bit of a shame as they could have been worth a few $$$ but oh well, that'll teach me not to have unique content that doesn't get updated!

I think it's pretty simple for anyone that has been effected, just don't be as lazy, put some effort into getting decent content, some decent links and get link diversity. I suppose Google may be looking more into user experience a lot more so bounce rate could actually be weighted more (a lot of autoblogs have a high bounce rate) and there additions like page speed etc could actually be weighted more.

Only one way to find out!

With backlinks and a variety of anchor text of course.
