From my experience the fastest way (although even that took some months I believe) was to get high PR inpage backlinks (not the domain PR). Scrape for high pr blogs, directories and post on them.
I would be interested to see what older members suggest though.

There is a free trial version with limited features so you can safely test before buying so you can get the general gist of it.
Am I really ignorant or is this ca be avoided? VPN's , alternative names etc. I am quite sure they can't track how much income you make or where your money is coming from so maybe even that isn't necessary.
In some cases the problem is not you. Most of these directory sites are made by the same guys as us and they may have their own agenda on what they accept. The best way to know is to send an email to them of course. ;)

You should start by hitting CRL+F key and tpying "Search" in the box that comes up. Then the page will navigate you to the search option on this forum. From there enter any keyword you would like to research and you can find threads with useful information.

I like for Google to find the links by itself. I think the positives of not having to do any extra work and letting them naturally appear far outweigh the negative of having to wait some time.
I mean if you link constantly it isn't even that important because it's only the initial month or so...
Yes it is actually possible that a domain is blacklisted. I had sites on co.cc and Google actually devalued co.cc, basically one day all the around 10 sites were on the top serp and the next day it was zero.
