I still add backlinks to all my Flickr picture descriptions. It is more for traffic from google image searches. I have a bunch of hi-res pictures from my job and they are very popular traffic getters.

I've had 1 high PR link put me at the top before. It all depends on competition. I would recommend targeting the high PR links because they don't go away as fast as blogmeatspam.

Most "High PR Link Networks" are total malarkey. I've been scanning site after site, mapping networks of prospective "Hi PR Networks" to buy links from and none of them are providing value worth the fee. Some of them can't even optimize or link to their own site. Is it so much to ask for some...
