HideMyAss has a free addon for your browser which hides your ip address. This is great. However, why purchase the service for $80 when it already hides your IP? Am I missing something? All I want to do is keep my internet service provider from fucking with me.

What do you mean? I would be using them to hide my ip address so my isp doesnt track my every move. I would have to use multiple ip addresses ? Is there a section or website where I can learn how to use proxies like that? Again, I'm a COMPLETE newb.

Thanks but I don't know the first thing about any of this. How many should I get and what is the benefit of getting 10 or 100 proxies? Also, what is the difference between dedicated and semi-dedicated?

This may not be the proper forum for this but I might as well give it a shot. I'm under the impression that certain internet service providers track your every move on the net. They go as far as sending letters in the mail threatening to terminate your service if they expect "illegal"...
