This may not be the proper forum for this but I might as well give it a shot.

I'm under the impression that certain internet service providers track your every move on the net. They go as far as sending letters in the mail threatening to terminate your service if they expect "illegal" behavior. Hypothetically speaking, is there a way to mask an IP address so ISPs can't track your moves on the web? If so, how? Thanks.

Thanks but I don't know the first thing about any of this. How many should I get and what is the benefit of getting 10 or 100 proxies? Also, what is the difference between dedicated and semi-dedicated?
 
i recommend squid proxies! although i do not think they are perfect, but its hard to get good proxies nowadays.

What do you mean? I would be using them to hide my ip address so my isp doesnt track my every move. I would have to use multiple ip addresses ?

Is there a section or website where I can learn how to use proxies like that? Again, I'm a COMPLETE newb.
 
if u wanna hide your ip for web surfing just spend 1/2$ and get a couple
of private proxies - more reliable

You are saying this as if I know what you are talking about lol. Please explain. Where do I get them and how do I use them?
 
just simple Get Elite "Dedicated Private proxy" which can fullfill all your needs you wanted :) serach on BHW or on the Google you will get many providers.
 
HideMyAss has a free addon for your browser which hides your ip address. This is great. However, why purchase the service for $80 when it already hides your IP? Am I missing something? All I want to do is keep my internet service provider from fucking with me.

Everyone likes proxies but the best is VPN hosting; few free ones but paying is worth it an cheap on monthly service. Won't go into tech details but traffic can still be seeing while getting to proxy; vpn is encrypted so is good for what you want plus more....

TOR browser is the safest way to browse, other wise, a good encrypted VPN would be the best solution.
 
From what I understand you're trying to hide your activity from *YOUR* ISP. That means that you need to encrypt your traffic between yourself and the internet. To do so, you should use an encrypted VPN. This will make all of your traffic look like nonsense to your ISP and it will only show your connection to the VPN server. Also, if done correctly it will also prevent DNS leaks and local DNS lookups.
