Yeah I got into this niche because I like it but mostly because I know I can monetize it in a way that's not being done currently. Just not sure if I can get the audience needed to successfully monetize it.

Exactly, even getting action blocked didn't affect reach for me. Just make sure you stay within 500 actions a day. I like to do only 200 followings and 200 unfollowings. Anytime I have surpassed 500 altogether I get a block.
