Does anyone know of a pre-built ODAT tracker script that is out there?
I am looking to build a site like gearscan.com or sacattack.com.
If not anyone out there that can write it?
Thanks.
I would enjoy testing this and will write at least a full page review and report any bugs or newbie suggestions. I know you already have a lot of people using this but I would greatly appreciate the opportunity. Thanks.
One thing that comes to mind is were you are getting your content. For the most part you can get everything you want from any of the major sites under there "webmaster" programs. I might be missing something here but if you are using that you are fine.
Sorry for not providing useful info but I have never heard of a merchant processor that will send a check. One thing to point out is that most will deposit money into just about any checking account. It doesn't need to be anything special. If you have any questions send me a pm.
If you can do it your self i say do it your self. Past there are a few questions to ask yourself. 1. Has this guy done anything that would make you not trust him? 2. What is the worse case scenario that could happen? Take the answers to those and weigh it against learning / doing it...
I am a fan of rackspace. I use both the cloud sites and cloud servers option. TO be honest I use the cloud sites option mostly as it takes less work on my part. I also checked many of my sites and they all ping at different ip addresses. I had never worried about that untill i read that you...

There is a flash and a jquery version. There are a ton more.
I might be misunderstanding but depending on what theme you are using you usually can find the /body tag in the footer file of your theme.
In wordpress it will build as follows. index -> header -> sidebar -> footer
Unless you are using something wierd.
Not to beat a dead horse but stay away from supper cheap web hosting. Basically anyone that promises everything for nothing. I will never forget when I went through about 5 different cheap hosts before finding LaughingSquid. That was a painful few months.
I now use Rackspace cloud sites...
I personally hate godaddy for anything but domain registration. And even with that I only keep using them out of habit. I recomend Rackspace and I really like both there cloud sites or cloud servers options. I lean more to the cloud sites option as then I dont have to worry about the server...
Thanks for the list. Even though it covers the basics, it is still an great reference.
One questions though. "try to get .coms but if not try -‘s if not go for .info .org .net"
What do "-'s" mean? Are you saying blahblah.c*m vs blah-blah.c*m
