Any good/bad experience with godaddy hosting

Godaddy sucks period. If anyone thinks they are good, they are new to internet marketing and just believe all the hype.

I've tried them out and they kept on giving me bullshit server down messages and saying its under construction.

Avoid them at all costs and go with a private VPS server of some sort if your serious about making money online.

Plus, with the recent news about their CEO hunting elephants, enjoying it to the max and even coming up with more and more excuses as to why he did it, I'd avoid them at all costs as well. If you're going VPS, I'd HIGHLY recommend KnownHost. HostGator is cool if shared and if dedicated, you can try ThePlanet.com, VolumeDrive.com...etc

I've been with Godaddy for some time now and I also think that it suck :/ I host 20 websites in their ultimate shared hosting account and it's the biggest mistake I've ever made! Sites are offline from time to time, their customer service is slow and the hosting tools are bad looking and boring. :D Please don't choose Godaddy, go for some other provider..!

I just move my sites from godaddy to hostgator virtual dedicated..

I ran some traffic thru godaddy shared.... and it just gave out...

they could not fix it... in fact... its still running and they cannot fix it.
the rest of the sites I migrated to hostgator..

the change was like night and day...
no upsell
knowledgeable staff
godaddy staff.... after trying to get my site up..
would ask "what do you think it is?" WTF... that is why i called them..

avoid godaddy.....
host gator is much better...

Definitely stay away and find a solid vps to host your sites on. KnownHost is awesome and I have had almost 100% (99.998 according to hyperspin) uptime for the last year.

I also can say that they suck big time. My websites used to be down 30-40% of the time. SQL server goes down for no reason and they are super slow. The average loading time of my websites was 7 secs ... Now it is 1.5 secs. Don't use them for anything.

I flatly refuse to have anything at all to do with Godaddy....They are the pits for hosting and buying domains. Keep away from them.

VPS or dedicated server is the way to go if you need 99.9+% uptime. You should be able to find a VPS with a reliable provider for $15-30/mo. I have my dedicated with HostDime and they have great service.

I would try to stick with a bigger company instead of a smaller/independent reseller. Years ago an associate of mine had his dedicated server with a reseller and the reseller stopped paying the data center without our knowledge. Next thing we know the entire server is on lock down for 3 days until the data center can resolve the billing issue, legally release the server back to us, and switch us to direct billing with them at uncompetitive rates. 3 days for some business clients without any e-mail...total nightmare.

I will get domains from GoDaddy but as a web host they truly suck. Just stay away.

Godaddy sucks +1... Avoid those dickheads at all costs.

With so many other cheap, high quality offerings out there, there's really no excuse to use Godaddy.
