from what i had in the past i pretty much got what i needed to get the site up as a clone did you try this approach?

On gtmetrix they can give you advise of the issues try doing so & you'll see results

just try to create a folder inside your root perstashop folder with an html file that returns "welcome world" then try accessing that file if it success then you can install wp in that folder with no problems i think

sure as you said 60 days are more than enough

you can start with shared hosting & then upgrade to a vps or dedicated server also read the host TOS & T&C as they might block your service

use chrome & enable devlopper tools & then you can view the files & source code of the site just be sure to retain the structure & you'll have what you want

even if you add a fake email you'll still be asked to verify by one of 3 methods : sms , credit card or real face to face verification else you'll have a 60 day trial account i think

i think there are some prestashop wp plugins integration on the wp plugins library just search google for prestashop integration & you'll get plenty of them

depends of what your original site is : if its only static you can go with HTML if its dynamic better stay with WP i'd suggest verifying your plugins & see if they slow down your site the wp only script is fast for most of the providers.
