I didn't say you did. I said I did. Sorry, this is a huge assumption. If you use great content, Facebook won't stop people from sharing it. Just because it worked a few years ago, doesn't mean it's going to keep working. You may need to adjust your content strategy.

You think a reach of 1M for a post on a page with 10k followers is "really bad engagement"? Hmmm And to answer your question of Insta or FB ... the answer is do both ... but FB is better in the long term because of all the tools/features/flexibility for now.

This is pretty silly. I have 1000 pages and I have many examples of single posts reaching 1M people organically on pages with less than 10,000 followers. One easy way to combat the organic reach problem per post that anyone can do is just to post more frequently.

How do you manage that? I run 1 second account on a second computer on a second IP and it's usually shut down in a couple days :(

That study saying it will die by 2017 was correlation without causation. Facebook's own team responded by using the same method to show that Princeton (the University who did the study) will have no students by 2021. It was hilarious.

Same here ... January 21 ... the bottom fell out. i'm hoping early algo changes overcorrected ... and another push on Tuesday (when FB does normal changes) that it will be corrected for the better for us.

I'm seeing the same. No change on picture posts, but on "embedded link" posts, some have dropped from like 50k reach to like 5k (and proportional click-throughs). Though, a couple have posts have jumped up to like 20k reach randomly.

If you have any development access, maybe you can "like-gate" a freebie for your existing fans on other channels. Like, maybe you can give a coupon away to anyone who LIKES your Page ... and send that message out on email, twitter, instagram, etc. Good luck

I'm a total n00b here and keep hitting roadblocks that say "you can't do this" with generic message of "it may be because" this or that, but no indicator on how to solve it. I've read the rules and I'm not sure how to really understand at what point I'll be able to comment, post, and PM...

You are very right here. People always say they're not getting likes and shares so Facebook is to blame ... but then you see their content is boring or foolish. There are lots of pages getting huge numbers still ... because their content is amazing and they're doing everything right.
