I use WP-Protect plugin on my wordpress blogs and disable right clicking,text selection and image dragging.So far no one copied my articles. I was afraid if there are bots or software that scrapes my content that's why I use that plugin.But people who try to do it manually will have a hard time...

Yes,I've seen a few case studies where only non follow links were used for backlinking,and the website did increase a lot in overtime.

This maybe due to Google dancing,I've experienced this before and was shocked.My site went from #3 to #hundreds...Luckily,my site went up again..back to the first page.It took about some hours before it went up.

You could use your creativity and make merchandise out of those bottles.And then sell them to ebay or at your own website.Than flip the website if you want.
