When I travel I make sure there is a business purpose attached to my trip. I can offset a significant amount of income in that way. Also I have an LLC, seems I get more tax deductions that way than with a Schedule C.

I prefer Wordpress myself. Its easy to use, and I prefer having blogs hosted on my own server. Maybe its a control thing, as I'm sure there is value in typepad, blogger, and some of those. But WP has worked fine for me.
