I used to run a MacBook because of the battery. I had files deleted on a regular basis. By someone with access to apple backend. I've tried to use a lightweight no name brand laptop running lubuntu, the same thing had happened. I am now on hp 250 g8 running windows 10 and I can't complain.

Backlinks aren't the only metrics that you should be following. In general, it really depends on what you want to use them for. I assume that you are buying them with the purpose to rank a specific website. This means that you've probably been through a link profile of your direct competitors...

It you place simple responses that are beneficial to the actual thread, I don't believe contextual links would hurt the rankings. Or get deleted.
