I like the logo, but same suggestion that Zwielicht use Illustrator. Also have in mind that if you ever need to print the logo in a format that can't have shadows (such a silk screen t-shirt, signage...) have in mind that the letters are going to look different without the separations. Good job!

Not sure what you mean with manually but if you have the PSD files you can do everything in Photoshop. Photoshop also has tools that allows you to make many actions automatically, you can google hot to use "actions" or "batch" in photoshop
