i7 it's in own class, the absolute monster if you ask me (and I have a 2630QM). if you encode movies and keep 3-4 virtual pcs on, then it is the logical pick if you don't need that processing power, the i5 is more than enough

that 32gb of ram is a little big excessive :) i'd take 16 gb and 2x 2tb hdd rest is ok from my point of view
