Took a review copy of the Baby King and the PR5+ Net package.
Very impressed with the service provided. All content and links were produced within the timeframe stated, and the few questions I had were answered promptly.
Quality of the written content was at the expected level, certainly...
Hugely valuable for keyword research, rank tracking and SEO analysis. Continually amazed that they don't charge more for it, or charge continuity.
Worth every cent.
Happens from time to time - been using Msam for a year now and every couple of months it jams up with the cell returns.
Cancelling and then re-submitting a couple of times usually helps, but then they usually come up with fix fairly regularly anyway.
Overall an amaxing tool.
Hugely helpful post! Interesting about the .uk domains, might try that. Locally-biased search volumes for the UK must be worthwhile in the right niche.
But really, you need to get down and dirty in the data - actually take the time to examine each of the top 10 competitors, look at their links, use your intuition to figure out "could I beat this?"

When doing the initial k/w research in the Keyword Research module, I tend to disregard the SEOC value - can be massively misleading. A big SEOC number can actually be easy to dominate if the SEOT isn't so tough.
Yep, Market Samurai for keyword research + rank tracking, although not such a fan of its "find backlinks" modules.
"SEO Comp" module can be used really well for spying on your top 10 competition and looking at where their links have come from though - then copy their strategy as part of your...
The software hasn't really been around long enough to see if there will be penalties yet anyway - I've had no probs so far (on a relatively new site) but agree with volund, don't risk it on an established money-maker if you can't afford to lose it.

I find doing a handful of bookmarks on major bookmarking sites works for pages that are slow to index. That said, I find pages on my Wordpress sites seem to get indexed within a 24 hours anyway, doing nothing other than submitted an xml sitemap to the engines.
I've certainly had no problems getting links in big spikes, unusual patterns - but have only tried it with domains that have been around for more than a few months.
Will be testing ramped-up link building with a brand new domain this week though, so we'll see.

Yes, agree - just turn on "parameters on request"
I also tend to turn off the auto parameter load for Yahoo as well, cos it really messes with the page load speed when using siteexplorer (which is the default backlink checker in Market Samurai, which I use)

Yeah, google hardly ever shows the majority of your backlinks. Check out the NBA website for example. Yahoo shows over a million links to the homepage, Google shows only 3,500.
So just keep an eye on the Yahoo stats, and don't stress about G.
