Honestly, if you're willing to try something and learn the ins and outs, that's another tool in your toolbox which you can apply to other things. Think of it like language; every new word you learn (and how/when to apply it) allows you to create poetry and novels that tell your story.

That's how it goes sometimes, not everyone sees the value of a consistent10 year outlook but everyone can see the 'big gains' from a short term outlook. Just part of human nature.
