Launched my webapp/data archive 5 days ago. It's a tool which will (hopefully) generate a steady amount of ad impressions per user since they must navigate/refresh the page to retrieve the most up to date information. However, this data is only relevant to users for about 30 hours a week and has minimal search engine exposure since it's only a few pages of content.

To address both of these issues, I archive all of the data used by, and related to, the app each day. This generates an enormous amount of indexable content, which answers a 100k searches/month keyword in its broadest scope, with many thousands of longtails for what is essentially each subcategory.

I was worried that the constant huge influx of new content, particularly on my unestablished domain, would result in a spam penalty from G - but I'm optimistic from what I've seen so far.

(Site has been crawlable for about 6 weeks, just hadn't launched/advertised until last week.)

Crawl rate is increasing, too. Almost broke a thousand crawler visits yesterday.

As for earnings, I'm up $0.10 since launch. I've never worked so hard for, nor been so motivated by a single dime.

Avg. earnings per day: $0.02
$50/day goal progress: 0.04%

Thank you. I plan to eventually monetize with memberships also when traffic is high enough.

Update #2

Gaining users and getting positive feedback. Primary marketing strategy has been to search for and directly message users that have expressed interest in my niche through their content across the major social platforms. This has been very effective at providing initial traction, and coupled with SEO efforts of answering relevant questions to plug my product, traffic has been increasing.

Despite a good CTR and CPC, it became evident quickly that AdSense would not remain the primary monetization method for my narrow niche webapp. I decided to convert it to a freemium product and restrict the ads to the limited free version. Users are incentivized to upgrade to the premium version to unlock full functionality.

I implemented these changes yesterday but wasn't expecting to see any sales until tomorrow at the earliest, as my users are most active throughout the week - so it was a pleasant surprise earlier today when one of my users converted and signed up for 3 months!

Converting to ~$53 CAD, today marks my first sale and the first day of achieving $50/day!

Ad earnings are around $0.60/day but growing.

Revised goal: Maintain an average of $50/day through a combination of membership fees and ad revenue.

good rethink on the strategy. as things grow you can think of adding more value for the members and make it more tempting to part with their dollars

Goodjob, continue scaling!

Thank you, already have a few ideas in mind to scale and automate much of my marketing efforts now that I have some revenue and can bootstrap the process. Also implemented an affiliate program for users to earn credit through referrals, I'm excited to see how this gets utilized.

I've come to realize that being adaptable is as important as having foresight, as it seems even the best-laid plans of mice and internet marketers often go awry. Continuing to add value for users is my priority, and I've been fortunate to receive a lot of specific feedback which helps to narrow my focus and decide what to improve first. Thank you!

Good job, mate.
On the radar to scale really fast.

Where does your traffic come from, social networking or SEO? please!!

Can you tell me the traffic of your website? With an income of $ 0.6 / day, how much traffic and CPC do you need? Thank you!

Steady updates, seems like the road is going even better from day to day. Wish you alot of luck brother!
