I find it astonishing that despite the feedback from genuine people given above that a revenge attack seems to be the most common response. It's also astonishing that this is all based on the fact you 'suspect' it to be them but have no proof whatsoever. You could be hitting a genuine business...
There's questions about on-page SEO all the time on IM forums, particularly from those new to the industry. Based on that I'm sure you'd get sales but probably not any repeat business once they see how it's done.
The higher the quality of the tier 1's the better but spinning to 60% uniqueness should be ok. Just make sure they are still readable and good quality after spinning. Branch out from web 2.0's as well. Tier 1 links can come from any platform with a stable URL and diversity is a good thing in SEO.
It does have a purpose and can save time but don't be the guy who got his entire blog network hacked and no idea what his passwords were because they were all stored in Roboform. True story... I can't find the thread right now though. Always have a back-up - don't be lazy.
Some relevant comments won't do any harm. Follow the advice above and just moderate the comments. If it becomes too much of a concern just remove the ability for people to leave comments.
Haha yes I think the point has been made this isn't a good idea ;) some high quality web 2.0 contextual links and social signals are a better and safer option for some initial linking to your new article.
The competition is for Adwords not SEO. You can get high CPC keywords and low SEO competition and that should be your goal of keyword research for Adsense sites. "Jeep Wrangler" probably has a high CPC but without doing research I know this isn't a good keyword to target for you at this stage. I...
CPC is dependent upon how much the advertisers are bidding for that keyword. You'll then get around 60% of that price for every click on your ads (Google keeps the rest). When doing your keyword research look for competition that's 'high' as this means there are lots of bidders for that keyword...
The month has nothing to do with CPC unless you're promoting seasonal keywords of course. It may be that some high paying advertisers in your niche have stopped their ads for the time being. Hang fire and it'll pick back up. I get peaks and troughs in my CPC. As well but it tends to level itself...
