500 words for high cost high competition keywords doesn't seem quite enough. You'd probably have to invest in a lot of backlinks for high comp KW's. Why not target KGR or low comp keywords?

Do you have any specific niche in mind? Your blog seems like a collation of short reviews about products in amazon affiliate. Maybe that's the problem, not enough authority and long content?
