@ SPPChristian: Yes, I did exactly as you told step by step and name a "Home" connection and it worked right away flawlessly and masked my real ip with the new AOL IPs started with 205.xxx.xxx.xxx but only with the bundled AOL browser. Even if it worked in AOL browser but when you try to go to...
^^^ I think you're right, most people from other sources do not seem to have this kind of problems according to my further research. Maybe because I did the installation test in the vmware virtual machine, but that's the only way to avoid aol junks into my desktop.
It's worked great, however seems like it only worked with the ie/aol browser bundled within the software. And also, it will not work when access through https sites, i.e. google search
^^^ True! But I'm getting tired of those IPs that keep flooding my site, stealing my content, and more... When I blocked 1 single IP, them kept changing to another. So I just simply shut the whole range down for good. Sleep better.
I always blocked all IP ranges belong to amazon:deny from 174.129.0.0/16deny from 122.248.224.0/19deny from 184.72.0.0/15deny from 204.236.128.0/17deny from 50.16.0.0/14deny from 72.44.32.0/19deny from 75.101.128.0/17deny from 176.34.240.0/21deny from 107.20.0.0/14deny from 67.202.0.0/18deny...

Wait.. It's officiallly changed, right from...
I've had the same experience a few months ago and I sent an email to notify them right away, they responded with a generic answer like checking your script bla bla. The server still running slow like a turtle, so I ignored them while thinking of moving to another host. Then, all the suddenly...
In addition to that $1.3 billion, google must pay all the legal expenses for the appeal that they just lost. Now, this is really hurt their pocket + face. http://seekingalpha.com/article/972541-google-france-faces-fine-of-1-3-billion-for-tax-noncompliance-google-denies-the-accusation
Good point! EMD is like name or nick, and the people can choose whatever they like. This google cannot in any ways flushed down years of hard work of the people in the toilet over night like this. I see plenty of good authority sites that just vanished and replace by a "mother food stamp" stupid...
It's sad to see the whole internet, that's supposed to belong to the people, is now being dictated by a single greedy advertising company with a weird name google. Stupid algos including this fucking non-sense EMD will go back to haunt you some days./* end anger */
If it's just for anonymous web browsing like you said, then I think you don't need much ram for the virtual machine. I, myself, allocated only 512MB ram out of 8GB in my computer and installed a VPN in there. It's better to install the virual disk on another HDD, if you got one. It's even much...
