But could also get you into trouble with the long arm of the law.. I'd leave such tactics to the likes of anonymous. A campaign to educate people and turn them away from google wont get anyone in any trouble. Word of mouth is a powerful force.

Still that's a matter of education - you don't have to search google just because you have android on your phone. Even in the default browser you can set the search to use bing or yahoo instead of google and of course you can install another browser which would include more options.

Well I feel like I finally arrived - my first site just got wiped out! I was hoping to make it an authority, slow and steady.. so far it has around 20+ articles ranging from 500 to 2000 words, all quality stuff and it was more of a hobby site that anything based on serious seo/keyword research...
