Yes these are the steps to get started but there is another layers to it. It's real hard to find people that talk about it because a lot of people will put that information behind a pay wall.

I totally agree it's so hard to keep up with everything Google is doing.

I having been see new reports on that google is hitting sites with to many blog post. Are other bloggers starting to delete some of there blogs? They are saying that google is starting to reward site with less blog post.
