First red flag is 2k price for 600/per month revenue. Waaay to low. For this revenue is should have been at least 6k. So it fits in category 'To good to be true' But its better to loose 2k and get lesson, than loose 20k! Dont loose faith in humanity (however be careful) and good luck!

I like them from marketing perspective (now we'll have tons of interesting domains available), I guess in longterm it will affect SEO as well. Only what I don't like is that for example cars have .car, .cars, .auto, .autos domains. I mean, you are forced to take them all :o.
