Sape is far from being spanked. it's actually working even better after the recent updates. and it's cheaper ;) a lot of people have been scared off! Yeehaaaa!! my sites are powering up the google serps at extreme paces. Never used this service though...
All i need is for someone to quickly edit a pdf file for me.

I don't think there is any possible way of google completely eradicating paid links or blog networks.
I reckon they can only catch networks and paid links and simply hit those sites using them.
If google hit networks then new domains and new networks will simply appear in a few days later...
After some recent updates and networks taken down. i think there will be less people engaging in russian links and it'll open up some potential SEO powerful links on the cheap for those that can stay under the radar.

I personally don' think they are dead. Looking for information and techniques on how others have had penalties and how they did it, what they bought etc.. evolving ;)
