If we edit the article and it looks like written by a human being, will it rank?

Is it ok to go to let's say, a Spanish website, translate their content into English using translation tools, clean the content up and post it on my site? So it's unique content in the eyes of google. Will it rank in google? Has anyone done this before? Any experience?
